Documentation

Everything you need to put StaticEdge in front of your static assets.

Quickstart

Create a pull zone, set your origin, then rewrite your asset host. The edge fetches on first miss and serves cached copies afterward.

zone: assets-prod
origin: https://origin.example.com
host: static-it.example-edge.net
tls: auto

Within a minute the hostname answers over TLS and begins caching responses according to their Cache-Control headers.

Caching rules

Default behaviour follows origin headers. Override per path when you need to:

PatternTTLBehaviour
/img/*30dcache, ignore query string
/api/*0bypass, proxy to origin
/*.js, /*.css7dcache, Brotli + gzip

Purge API

Invalidate a path or prefix. Propagation across the node completes in under a second.

curl -X POST https://static-it.example-edge.net/_edge/purge \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <token>" \
  -d '{"prefix":"/img/hero/"}'

Response headers

Every response carries cache diagnostics:

x-edge-cache: HIT
x-edge-node: it-mxp-1
age: 142
